Karol Suárez is a journalist, reporter, and field producer based in Mexico, covering Latin America with a focus on immigration, security, and politics. She has reported major stories across the region for leading outlets such as CNN and USA Today, delivering both breaking news and in-depth features that resonate with global audiences.

Karol is an Emmy-nominated journalist for her coverage of the immigration crisis at both the U.S. and Mexico’s southern borders. Her reporting has taken her to some of Latin America’s most complex and high-stakes environments, where she has covered breaking news, investigative pieces, and feature stories.

Beyond daily news, she has been recognized for her feature reporting with two Telly Awards, one for a cultural piece on Mexico’s bullfighting tradition and another for a business feature on the rise of women in the mezcal industry.

She holds a degree in journalism from Yacambú University and has built her career telling impactful stories that transcend borders. Karol is fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker.
